The war with the Maccaco was wearing on Mawkeya. Almost 20 years of fighting and forever on the road drained her spirit. Yet, as the Chosen of Arum, Knightress of the Gold Dragon, the Will of the High God in human form, she dare not show any weakness to anyone outside the Valley of Temples. However, she was never alone. Hops was always there for her in quite moments as they traveled. And together, they share the burden of the world.
