MLP Art Set stream Saturday 6/9/18

Last weekend my wife as a joke got me this My Little Pony art set. Well unboxing videos are popular, and so this Saturday 6/9/18 starting at 5:30pm Pacific I will be breaking the plastic security strap on this art set and then will attempt create artwork with it on my Picarto  stream.  I will have had no chance to look at or practice with any of the materials in the set. They say it’s a poor craftsman who blames his tools. Let’s see if I regret making that last statement this Saturday.

I hope you like what you see. Please help make more art like this possible by supporting me at Patreon

Vinyl Dear

Octavia arched her back a little and tilted her head back to look at her partner.

“Yes Vinyl dear. This is the swimsuit you bought me recently. Yes, I am happy with it. Thank you for it getting it. Um, Vinyl dear. Are you getting too much sun? You’re suddenly very flush in the face.”
This is effectively the start of the Memorial Day Weekend here in the states, but today is still a work day for me. Although it will be a light work day. This started out to be something of a warm up piece that evolved into something a bit more finished. Also it is part of my continuing study to improve, expand, and push my figure drawing skills so they get better.

Tomorrow 5/26/18 starting at 5:30pm Pacific I will be creating more art like this on Picarto

I hope you like what you see. Please help make more art like this possible by supporting me at Patreon

FYI. This piece is already sold.

Again

Sandra's sword came to stop as she finished the drill, for several seconds she just stood there panting.

Whack! A walnut bounced off chest.

"Return to on guard. High inside. You're stalling" Diana stood about 8 feet away, conveniently out of striking range, with her long sword resting on her right shoulder. In her left hand was fistful of walnuts.

Sandra looked at her instructor/tormentor. "Look. Why don't we take a 5 minute break and then..."

Whack! Another walnut bounced off the squirrel's nose.

"Talking is a form of stalling. Return to on guard. High inside."

"Throwing a walnut at me is not doing much to motivat...."

Whack! Whack! Two walnuts bounced off her head.

"Does two of them do the trick?" Grinned her teacher.

"Slowly Sandra came back on guard. The light, beautifully balanced long sword that she'd started her practice session with now felt like an anchor in her hands. The blade trembled as her muscles protested the abuse. The pleasant morning sun was a blazing furnace now.

Undoubtedly the result of some hideous magic that Diana has cast. Thought the squirrel.

Whack! Another walnut hit Sandra in the chest.

"Your point is dropping! Bring it up!" Said the vixen

A patron reward for RebelSqurl I've drawn Diana and Sandra in the past for him,  A good group by Baron-Engel  In, out of the elements by Baron-Engel  Ranger Diana 01 by Baron-Engel but this is the first time I've had them doing sword work. Plus I got break out my copy of Talhoffer and Medieval Swordsmanship, Illustrated Methods and Techniques for reference.

Singing in the shower

This is the warm up piece I did yesterday before my Picarto stream. I did it to get myself focused for the evening and I have been experimenting with a new paper that I will go into more detail in future journal post.
The drawing is of Carousel sitting on a stool under the shower. This kind of like the set up we have in my Equestria dreamscape. However the spark that inspired this was another piece of art done by ItsAlwaysPony recently of Rarity in the shower which in turn looks like a scene from the 1983 movie Flashdance. All in all it was a fun piece to and I got it done in a little more than a hour.
