Pinkie Pie stared at mass of squirming tentacle with a look of  disgust and alarm. A with front hoof she flipped the door of the oven  closed. With that accomplished she looked over at Sweetie Belle who had  remained motionless and silent for the last 20 seconds. After several  more seconds of uncomfortable silence the mare spoke.

"Uh, Sweetie. I'm afraid I am going to have to give your cobbler a, well, um, a failing grade."

The filly sighed. "Understood. So Pinkie, do you want to grade my sourdough starter?"

The pink mare stared over at the sealed stoneware jar. Occasionally it would rock or shake ever so slightly. From within one could hear muffled  scratching and clawing sounds punctuated by moaning eldritch sounds.

"Nope! Not today! Let's um, give it a few more days to settle down."  Then she muttered under her breath. "And hopefully die."

Career Day

Miss Cheerilee watched in alarm as the large cauldron rocked, rattled and smoked on the classroom floor.  Zecora noticed her apprehension. The alchemist turned her head and addressed the teacher's concerns.
    "Do not be alarm if the cauldron rattles and toils. It's what it does when a potion boils."
    Cauldron made a loud burping sound, followed by another and another. Zecora looked back at the cauldron and pursed her lips and then spoke again.
    "I do not want to stoke fears of impending doom, but can I have everypony evacuate the room!"
    That was the last time Miss Cheerilee held Career Day at the school, and the next day the town of Ponyville started plans for building the new schoolhouse.

Does anyone else see our problem?

A Patreon reward for Sura-Resch. I've only done a few multi-headed individuals like this over the years. With Halloween coming up Sura wanted the hydra to be dressed in Greek Hoplite armor. Beyond that he left it pretty open for me come up with an idea.

So I started looking at the reference he provided and digging into my own reference collection on ancient arms and armor. As I did this little story popped into my head.

Just so viewers know. The head on the left is Ursula. The head in middle is Victoria, and the one on the right is Hannah. This is the story I came up with for the illustration.

 The clock finished chiming six in the evening then the room went quiet again. It had been like that for several seconds before clock had announced the hour. Finally Ursula spoke up and broke the uncomfortable silence.


"Okay I guess I'm the one who's going to have to say it. Does anyone else see the problem with the Halloween costume we just got delivered?" 


Victoria nodded her head. "Um, yeah we're short two helmets." 


Hannah sighed. "And I don't think we saved the receipt." 


Ursula growled. "Yeah and my horns wouldn't fit in this helmet anyways!" 

FYI. Tonight 8/31/18 starting at 5:30pm Pacific I will be streaming on Picarto. It's a special Friday night stream.

Back-to-school art stream

When I was growing up the Labor Day Weekend was viewed by myself and my classmates as the end of summer because school started after it. Never mind what the calendar the said. If we had to be back in school summer was over for us.

Tomorrow is considered the start of Labor Day Weekend here in the US. So Friday 8/31/18 starting at 5:30pm Pacific I will be having my Picarto stream. The stream is happening on Friday because I will be attending the Crunchyroll Expo this weekend.

To celebrate the back to school season I will be doing a special request stream. The only caveat is that all requests will have to be related to school. So topics like the CMC, Equestria Girls, Twilight's School of Friendship, or Celestia School for Gifted Unicorns are acceptable topics. Heck even Flim and Flam's school are fair game! And at the same time I will be giving drawing tips as well.

Class starts at 5:30pm Pacific, so don't be late or you'll have pound out erasers during recess. See you there.
